Dresden Seladon
Dresden Celadon is a design by Hutschenreuther. ‘Dresden’ refers to the rococo shape of the plates, associated with the opulent shapes of dinnerware of the Saxonian elite in the late 18th century.
The name ‘Seladon’ refers to the decoration. The design is of the same pale green colour as Asian porcelain typically referred to as celadon.
The combination is aesthetically very pleasing as it’s both classic and oriental.
