About Wedgwood – Queens Plain – Demitasse Cup
Wedgwood is an English porcelain and creamware manufacturer and was founded 1 May 1759 by Josiah Wedgwood.
Queens’s Plain is one of their very well known beautiful designs. The shape is called Queens Plain and it is made of creamware.
The name queensware, typically associated with cream coloured earthenware is derived from a dinner service ordered by Queen Anne, from Wedgwood, that marked the breakthrough of Wedgwood. Queen’s Plain is a re-issue of the design of this particular set.
