A Royal Crown Derby Red Aves Teacup.
The cup and saucer were made by Royal Crown Derby and belong to the series ‘Red Aves’.
Olde Avesbury is one of Royal Crown’s iconic patterns, the red version is called ‘Red Aves’. The item is decorated in a beautiful red colour with gilding, flowers and pheasants.
The cups have been marked ‘XXIII’ meaning they were made in 1960.
The cups measure 6cm in height, the saucers measure 14.7cm in diameter.
The item is in an excellent condition with some very minor surface wear.
